How to Prevent & Remove Dark Circles Under Eyes
Most creams and lotions are considered “inactive”, because they have no real benefits. The more actives a lotion contains, the more benefits you will see. The “active” part means that the cream contains a number of active ingredients.
So it’s important to read the label carefully and find out what benefits each ingredient provides. There might be none. Hopefully, you will be able to find a product that contains lots of actives. One of the most important for preventing and removing dark circles under eyes is Phytessence wakame. In my last article, you learned about the role of hyaluronidaise activity in skin aging and dark circles beneath your eyes. Phytessence wakame is extracted from sea kelp. The extract should be included in any active day cream, because it inhibits hyaluronidaise activity.
Sea kelp has been used historically as a refreshing facial mask, to protect against sun damage and to reduce bags and other under-eye problems. Researchers have examined many different kinds of sea kelp, looking for medicinal and cosmetic benefits. Wakame is a specific kind of kelp native to the Sea of Japan. It is particularly rich in nutrients; vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. It was first introduced to the US as a kind of health food. Many people enjoy it with their sushi and other types of seafood. Phytessence wakame contains the most effective components of the sea kelp. These extracts are combined with emollients and the emollients are included in an active day cream. Some varieties of sea kelp are less effective, because they contain fewer nutrients. Even some forms of wakame are less effective, because they are not processed correctly. Phytessence wakame has been shown to inhibit hyaluronidaise activity by more than 50%. If used on a regular basis, this means that creams containing it will cause the skin’s hyaluronic acid levels to rise to those of a much younger person. Within a few weeks, you should be able to say “bye-bye” to dark circles under eyes. An active day cream containing Phytessence wakame has multiple benefits. Inhibiting hyaluronidaise activity may be the most important. But you should know about the others too. One of the nutrients found in the sea kelp is called sulfated polyfucose. This compound will help prevent dark circles under eyes that are related to UV rays or sun damage. It actually protects against sun damage according to recent research. Wakame is not the only ingredient to look for in an active day cream. As I mentioned above, the best creams include a number of actives. There are multiple causes of an aged appearance and many contributing factors. Hyaluronidaise activity is a major factor; one of the three main causes. But, there is also decreased production of new skin cells to consider.
An ingredient called Functional Keratin has been shown to stimulate skin cell proliferation. As you know from my previous article, low levels of hyaluronic acid may contribute to decrease skin cell production, too. Together Functional Keratin and Phytessence wakame will prevent and reverse dark circles under eyes better than anything else.
